He was preceded in death by his beloved father, Billy Sam Mathews, Sr.; grandparents, Bud & Ethel Mae Nunnery, and Willis H. & Delila Mathews; and numerous aunts & uncles.
He served his country in the United States Army. He was a member of Bethany Holiness Church and was a volunteer for Holiness Missions to America.
Even though cancer ravaged his body, it did not get his soul; it is in heaven.
Services: 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, February 10, 2010 at Bethany Holiness Church in Sand Springs, Oklahoma.

Interment: Meadowbrook Cemetery in Tulsa, Oklahoma
